From a quiet morning wandering through Lisbon to golden hour on the coast, we’ll choose a setting that suits your relationship and let the rest unfold naturally.
Engagement photography in Portugal, without the awkward posing
You don’t need to know how to pose. Nor do you need to rehearse anything. And you definitely don’t need to spend an hour looking at the camera.
My approach to engagement photography is relaxed, documentary and gently guided. I’ll give you direction when you need it, but I’ll mostly let you move, talk, laugh, walk and be together.
The goal isn’t to create photographs that look like everyone else’s.
It’s to create photographs that feel like you.

If you’re planning to propose in Lisbon, Sintra, Setúbal or somewhere along the Portuguese coast, I can help you choose the location, work out the best time for light, and figure out the logistics so your partner has absolutely no idea what’s coming.
I’ll help you plan the details without making the moment itself feel staged.
On the day, I’ll already be in position. You just have to ask the question.
And then, once the secret is out, we can continue with a relaxed engagement session while the excitement is still fresh.
Where can we photograph?
Portugal gives us an almost ridiculous number of beautiful places to choose from.
I photograph engagements and proposals throughout Lisbon, Sintra, Cascais, Setúbal, Azeitão, Palmela and the Arrábida region, as well as further afield across Portugal.
Lisbon
For couples who love architecture, tiled streets, beautiful viewpoints and a little bit of city energy. From Alfama and Portas do Sol to quieter gardens and hidden corners, Lisbon gives us plenty of variety within a relatively small area.
Sintra & Cabo da Roca
For something more wild and romantic. Think dramatic cliffs, lush gardens, historic estates and Atlantic views.
Cabo da Roca and the surrounding Sintra coast are particularly beautiful for couples who want their photographs to feel a little more cinematic.
Setúbal, Azeitão & Arrábida
Closer to home for me, and full of beautiful possibilities. The Arrábida coastline, beaches, vineyards and mountain landscapes offer a completely different feeling from Lisbon.

I’ll give you simple prompts and gentle direction when you need it, but I won’t force you into complicated poses. The session is built around movement, conversation and being together, so you can gradually forget about the camera.
Absolutely. I’ll help you choose a location, work out the timing and light, and coordinate the details so the proposal feels natural and your partner doesn’t suspect a thing.
If you’re planning from abroad, we can organize everything remotely through email, WhatsApp or a video call.
I photograph couples throughout Lisbon, Sintra, Cascais, Setúbal, Azeitão, Palmela, Arrábida and other locations across Portugal.
If you already have somewhere in mind, tell me. If you don’t, I’ll suggest locations based on the atmosphere you’re looking for.
Something that feels like you. I’ll send a guide with simple outfit ideas and tips, but the most important thing is that you feel comfortable, connected, and free to move and enjoy.
