From the very first moment I met Cláudia and Darchil at Patrícia and Gabriel’s wedding, I knew they were special. Their laughter was contagious, their energy magnetic… so when they reached out to tell me they were getting married and wanted me to photograph their big day, I may have done a happy dance in the middle of my studio!
We met for their pre-wedding session in the magical Monserrate Gardens in Sintra — one of the most beautiful backdrops for couple sessions in Portugal. But what truly made this shoot unforgettable wasn’t just the romantic architecture or lush greenery. It was them.
Effortlessly unique… and full of joy
Cláudia and Darchil brought the fun. The session was spontaneous, full of movement and laughter: a perfect reflection of their personalities. It felt like watching two best friends completely at ease with each other, unapologetically themselves, soaking in every moment.
They ran, danced, teased each other, and even threw in a few unexpected poses that had me cracking up with them behind the camera. That sense of freedom of just being present and playful is exactly what I love to capture.

Cláudia and Darchil are getting married in September at Quinta da Murta, one of the most charming wedding venues in Portugal, nestled in the heart of the Bucelas wine region.
